Brakes are the one thing on a car you cannot put off, and a clutch usually warns you for weeks before it gives up.
A squeal that comes and goes, a pedal that travels further than it used to, a bite point that has crept up towards the top: bring it in while it is still a nuisance and it stays a small job.
Both are on the MOT list, so if your test is due anyway it is worth having them looked at in the same visit rather than finding out on the day.
